Simon Tomlinson recently retired as Chairman of OLMC after 24 years and was also simultaneously Chairman of OMSCo for 8 years.
Simon is the managing Partner of Tomlinson Farms, a family business farming 1200 acres on the Gloucester/Wiltshire Borders. The business involves 2 dairy herds, a dairy beef finishing enterprise and an arable operation providing barley for the beef and dairy stock as well as whole-crop silage. The farm started conversion to Organic production in the 1980’s and was a founding member of both the Organic Milk Suppliers Co-operative and the Organic Livestock Marketing Co-operative.
After education at Christ’s Hospital Simon went to Sandhurst spending 10 years in the army during which time he went to Oxford where he got a degree in Psychology and Philosophy and Blues for Boxing and Polo. Apart from Farming Simon’s business interests are in Commercial Property.
