Organic Finished cattle

OLMC have outlets for a wide range of finished cattle, both suckler and dairy bred.

Carcase weights required vary depending on specific abattoir. Generally, they range from 250kg to 400 kg deadweight. The requirements for conformation and finish are to the industry standard and are based around a well conformed animal with medium fat cover.

All cattle marketed by OLMC require current Organic Certification and Farm Assurance. Prime cattle are required all year round with most abattoirs wanting cattle to thirty months of age or younger, a few taking them to thirty-six months.

Cull cows

OLMC have several abattoir outlets for both suckler and dairy bred cull cows.All cows marketed by OLMC require current Organic Certification and Farm Assurance. Cows are collected regularly, and abattoir requirement is throughout the year. Non-organic can also be accommodated often on the same loads. Collection days for cows are arranged in advance so please book in as soon as you have some to go, to ensure prompt movement.

Finished lambs

OLMC supply a number of large retail customers with organic lambs through their dedicated abattoir processor.

Carcase weights required are generally 15kg to 22 kg deadweight depending on outlet. While also meeting a good confirmation standard, with a medium cover of finish. Lamb supplies are required throughout the year, especially winter finishing from February to April. All lambs marketed by OLMC require current Organic Certification and Farm Assurance.
