Philip Douthwaite joined OLMC when it was formed and became an OLMC Board member soon after.
Philip and his family farm an organic beef, sheep, and arable enterprise over 1400 acres of owned and rented land in South Warwickshire. His 200 Stabiliser cross cows are mainly March/April calving and likewise his 350 Mule ewes lamb in March/April. 600 store lambs are purchased.
All stock are finished off grass and forage and sold through OLMC to an organic butcher, an organic farm shop (year round), with the surplus into larger abattoirs.
250 acres of organic arable crops: wheat, oats and beans are grown mainly for sale with a small quantity fed to finishing cattle.
