Ideally OLMC requires lambs of 16~21kg carcass weight of the best conformation possible, with a 2~3L fat cover in order to meet base price or better. The lamb must have valid Organic and Farm Assurance Certification.
The Marketing office will notify producers and processors of intended delivery and make the necessary arrangements for stock to enter the slaughterhouse. It will also promptly convey back to producers their slaughter details by their preferred method of contact.
Structured Approach to Marketing
Producers marketing stock through the Co-operative are required to submit a forecast. Stock is booked in advance to avoid unnecessary delay and reduce likelihood of stock falling out of specification. This also helps in planning our marketing strategy as well as providing our processor customers with a more consistent supply.
