Procuring adequate numbers of store cattle continues to be challenging in an environment of reducing numbers of cattle. The numbers of store cattle we are trading is above what we budgeted for and above last years throughput but we still need more to meet buyers demands. We are still looking for turn out cattle and will be for another 4/5 weeks. We will then start our campaign to find cattle for yarding and finishing in the Autumn / winter. We would like to hear from anyone with cattle this Autumn and its never too soon to book cattle in.

Although it seems some time away, we are planning the Autumn store lambs supplies. We will be looking again this year for organic store lambs particularly in larger numbers.

If you are contemplating buying in store lambs, we would like to talk to you. We have space for another 4 – 5 producers who can take on roughly 500-1000 lambs each and are able to offer very attractive (and profitable) store lamb finishers “package”. The key to profitable store lamb finishing is planning. We are happy to discuss this in more detail.
